Stephanie’s Commitment to District B
Priorities Shaped by Our Community
Responsible Land Use – Protect Neighborhoods, Preserve Character
I will protect the character of our neighborhoods by ensuring that any growth respects residents, safeguards open space, and preserves what makes District B unique.
I have worked alongside residents and elected officials to ensure community voices are part of countywide land-use decisions. This included tracking legislation such as Bill 09-23 (AA Comprehensive Rezoning), Bill 17-015 (Adoption of 2017 Zoning Maps), and Bill 25-002 (Comprehensive Zoning – Harford County Zoning Maps), in order to provide outreach that helps residents understand how land-use policies affect their neighborhoods. By listening and elevating local concerns, I helped ensure community voices remained part of the process.
Community Priorities – Strengthening What Matters Most
I will support initiatives that strengthen strong schools, agricultural heritage and businesses so District B continues to thrive while preserving its identity.
Through my leadership roles, public testimony, and outreach, I’ve worked to make sure elected officials understand community priorities, and that the legislation they approve reflects those priorities while minimizing impacts to our neighborhoods.
Accessible Leadership – A Leader Who Listens
I will be an accessible Council member—listening to residents and ensuring they have a clear understanding and voice in county decisions.
I have testified before the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee on SB 619 to oppose SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) suits, working to ensure residents and community groups are not silenced and remain part of the decision-making process. As your Council member, I will encourage open dialogue and meaningful participation, providing accessible leadership that listens and responds to your concerns.
As your representative I will listen and make decisions alongside our community.
